B.Sc., Respiratory Therapy is an undergraduate course that prepares you to become a skilful Respiratory Therapist who performs a vital role throughout the healthcare system — primarily in inter-professional, resuscitation and rapid response teams.
Students inclined towards rapid rescue can choose this course, and they will train to handle pieces of equipment used to treat and rescue patients with respiratory disorders. Students will also learn a wide variety of techniques such as Intubation, Respiratory Assessment, Ventilators and Bronchoscopy under expert guidance in a well-equipped ICU and diagnostic centre at our Hospital.
In addition to assessing and treating patients with respiratory diseases, students will be able to perform a variety of interventions to support the patient’s cardiopulmonary system, including providing and maintaining a mechanical ventilator for respiratory failure, assisting in the delivery of anesthesia, providing respiratory care for both the mother and her baby during a high-risk delivery and inserting artificial airways and invasive lines.
